Acerca de Compañía
Established on January 25, 1974, the Cooperative Insurance System of the Philippines (CISP) was first organized by the Samahang Nayons to provide life insurance protection to Filipinos, particularly farmers and workers, members of cooperatives, labor unions, and coop-oriented groups and organizations not covered by the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) and/or the Social Security System (SSS). Shortly after, its existence was legalized by its initial registration with the Department of Local Government and Community Development, under Presidential Decree 175, on April 8, 1974, having an initial authorized capital stock of Php30 million. In 2018, the Insurance Commission (IC) has issued to CISP its Certificate of Authority to operate as Life and Non-Life Insurance Cooperative. CISP has further been authorized by the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) and Insurance Commission (IC) to amend its name to 1 Cooperative Insurance System of the Philippines Life and General Insurance (1CISP). For 1CISP, the entire cooperative community is a close-knit family, where the welfare of every individual member comes first. True to its mantra, 1CISP is Protecting you like Family.
