Job Description

Company Overview

We are a premium luxury interior design firm specializing in bespoke residential and commercial projects for high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs), corporate clients, and luxury real estate developers in Lagos and beyond. With a portfolio featuring ultra-luxury penthouses, private villas, boutique hotels, and flagship corporate offices, we deliver world-class design solutions using exclusive materials, international partnerships, and cutting-edge craftsmanship.

Job Summary

The Business Development Manager will drive revenue growth by identifying, nurturing, and converting high-value leads into long-term clients. This role focuses on expanding the firm’s presence within Lagos’ elite network, securing multi-million-naira contracts, and positioning the brand as the go-to for luxury interiors in Nigeria’s premium market.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Generation & Networking

· Proactively identify and engage HNWIs, real estate developers, architects, and corporate decision-makers through targeted outreach.

· Attend exclusive industry events, art auctions, polo tournaments, yacht shows, and luxury lifestyle gatherings in Lagos (e.g., Ikoyi Club, Eko Atlantic launches).

· Build strategic partnerships with luxury real estate brokers (e.g., in Banana Island, Victoria Island), private banks, and family offices.

2. Client Acquisition & Pitching

· Conduct high-level presentations showcasing past projects (3D renders, material boards, VR walkthroughs).

· Develop customized proposals for projects valued at ₦50M–₦500M+.

· Negotiate contracts, payment terms, and scope creep with legal/finance teams.

3. Market Intelligence & Strategy

· Monitor luxury real estate pipelines (e.g., Eko Pearl, Azuri Peninsula) to preempt client needs.

· Analyze competitor offerings (e.g., international firms entering Lagos) and recommend differentiation strategies.

· Track global design trends (Milan Salone, Dubai Design Week) to position the firm as forward-thinking.

4. Revenue & KPI Management

· Achieve quarterly targets:

o ₦150M+ in signed contracts per quarter.

o 8–12 qualified leads monthly.

o 70% lead-to-consultation conversion.

· Manage CRM (e.g., HubSpot) to track pipeline from cold outreach to project handover.

5. Brand Elevation

· Collaborate with marketing on thought-leadership content (e.g., “The Future of Biophilic Luxury in Lagos” for BellaNaija Lifestyle).

· Secure features in premium publications (e.g., ThisDay Style, Guardian Life, Design Anthology Africa).

Qualification and Requirements

Education

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Architecture, or related field.

· MBA or professional certification (e.g., CIM, PMP) is a plus.

Experience

· 5–7 years in B2C/B2B sales, ideally in luxury goods, real estate, or high-end services.

· Proven track record of closing deals >₦50M with HNWIs or institutions.

· Existing network in Lagos’ luxury ecosystem (essential).

Skills

· Fluent in “luxury language” – ability to discuss rare marbles, Italian millwork, and African artisanal integration.

· Exceptional presentation skills (PowerPoint, InDesign, mood boards).

· Strong negotiation and objection-handling.

· Data-driven (Excel, CRM analytics).
