The Supply Chain Manager oversees and manages the end-to-end supply chain operations to ensure timely procurement, efficient inventory management, and smooth distribution of food products, raw materials, and supplies. The role ensures compliance with food safety standards, cost-effectiveness, and operational excellence to support business goals.


Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Vendor Management

  • Source, negotiate, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers of raw materials, packaging, and food ingredients.
  • Ensure suppliers comply with food safety, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct cost analysis to identify savings opportunities without compromising quality.

Inventory & Warehouse Management

  • Oversee inventory planning, stock monitoring, and reorder points to avoid shortages or overstocking.
  • Implement FIFO/FEFO (First-In-First-Out / First-Expired-First-Out) systems for perishable items.
  • Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure proper storage and handling of food products.

Logistics & Distribution

  • Plan and manage transportation and distribution of food products to branches, outlets, or customers.
  • Optimize delivery schedules to ensure freshness, minimize spoilage, and control logistics costs.
  • Monitor third-party logistics providers (if applicable).

Food Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure that all supply chain activities adhere to HACCP, ISO, FDA, and other food industry regulations.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC teams to guarantee quality and safety across the supply chain.

Planning & Forecasting

  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Finance teams for demand forecasting.
  • Develop supply chain strategies to support seasonal demand, new product launches, and promotions.
  • Monitor KPIs (inventory turnover, order accuracy, lead time, wastage, etc.) to drive continuous improvement.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop the supply chain team (buyers, planners, warehouse staff, logistics personnel).
  • Train staff on supply chain best practices, food safety handling, and efficiency improvements.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
  • At least 5+ years of supply chain experience in the food and beverage, manufacturing, or restaurant industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards, cold chain management, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in ERP systems and MS Office; experience with supply chain software is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
