Key Job Responsibilities

• On-time completion and turn-over of IMT Systems and Projects to ensure continuous business operations & ensure high availability and reliability of computer systems.
• Manage safety and implements the LRMC Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Policy within areas under his control
• Provides overall direction of automation projects and systems improvement of all departments to sustain continuous operations.
• Liaises with Head of Departments (HOD) to identify potential areas of computerization
• Reviews and approves policies and procedures on computer systems and contingency plans. Ensure that all systems and employees comply with the company’s Computer Security Policy.
• Reviews audit and documentation procedures of Information Systems to ensure compliance to Computer Security and Specifications
• Oversees IS project management being undertaken by IS Project Manager, Systems Analyst/Programmer, network groups and implementation of commercial software packages by external consultants, and site-specific projects undertaken by department IT Staff.
• Direct and ensure continuous operational and technical support to end-users of the department
• Ensure the timely process through which systems downtime are controlled including problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution and follow-up steps
• Ensures strict implementation of the Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) Policy.

Experience

• More than (10) Ten years of IT management experience both in Systems, Security, Application Development, Project Management, IT Infrastructure and IP Telephony or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Exposure in Transportation/Logistics/Utilities Industry or equivalent.

Education

• Degree in Information Technology/Management course or Engineering
• Proficient in IT project management
