ROLE SUMMARY

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Automation Specialist with a strong background in process automation and optimization. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, designing, and implementing automation solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy across financial and operational processes. Your expertise in automation tools, scripting, and workflow optimization will help streamline repetitive tasks, enhance productivity, and reduce errors.

This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive in identifying opportunities for automation. A strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes is a plus, as you will collaborate with finance teams to automate reporting, reconciliation, and other accounting functions.

WORK SCHEDULE: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (10:00 PM – 7:00 AM Philippine Standard Time), follows Philippine holidays

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Perform the following tasks related to process automation and optimization:
• Identify manual and repetitive processes across departments and develop automation solutions to improve efficiency
• Design, implement, and maintain automated workflows using tools such as Power Automate, UiPath, Zapier, Alteryx, or similar platforms
• Develop and deploy scripts, macros, and custom automation solutions using Python, VBA, SQL, or other relevant programming languages
• Analyze and document existing workflows to identify opportunities for optimization and automation
• Perform the following tasks related to financial process automation:
• Assist in automating financial data entry, reconciliation, and reporting tasks to improve accuracy and reduce processing time
• Implement automation solutions for invoice processing, expense tracking, payroll, and accounts reconciliation
• Integrate accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite) with automation tools to streamline financial operations
• Perform the following data integration and reporting tasks:
• Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data between systems, ensuring seamless data flow across platforms
• Build and maintain automated dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or Google Data Studio
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity in automated processes, performing regular quality checks and troubleshooting errors
• Perform the following collaboration and support tasks:
• Work closely with finance, operations, and IT teams to understand business needs and design automation solutions accordingly
• Provide training and support to employees on automation tools and best practices
• Monitor and improve automation workflows continuously to adapt to business changes and requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• 2 to 5 years of experience in automation, process improvement, or related fields
• Experience with artificial intelligence (AI) technologies would be essential
• Proficiency in automation tools such as Power Automate, UiPath, Zapier, or Alteryx
• Strong programming skills in Python, VBA, SQL, or JavaScript for scripting and automation
• Experience with APIs and data integration between various business applications
• Familiarity with accounting principles and financial workflows is a plus
• Knowledge of ERP, CRM, and accounting systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage is a plus
• Experience with Zoho would be valuable
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple tasks effectively
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across teams and train users on automation solutions
