About The Role

As a Senior Finance Associate, you will be the key technical analyst enabling Hive’s strategic objectives focusing on special projects, reporting, and analysis functions. This role involves close collaboration with leads, other finance teams, and data and product teams to improve the company's financial state continuously. As the Senior Analyst, you are an individual contributor with the most significant influence in the company's direction, specializing in analysis and strategy.

Responsibilities

Advanced Financial Analysis

Develop and manage complex financial forecasts and models, including projections for revenue, expenses, and cash flow
Conduct detailed financial performance analysis, offering strategic insights to support decision-making

Budgeting and Planning

Oversee the budgeting process, working with departments to ensure accurate and effective budget planning
Monitor budget adherence and performance, providing detailed variance analysis, and recommendations for adjustments

Cost Management and Efficiency

Oversee cost control initiatives and optimize financial processes to improve efficiency
Analyze and manage departmental and project costs, identifying opportunities for savings and process enhancements
Process business transactions, and verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records

Financial Reporting and Compliance

Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports to senior management, highlighting key performance metrics, and strategic insights
Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with local tax laws and regulations
Assist in tax planning and forecasting to optimize the company's tax position

Leadership and Collaboration

Mentor and support junior finance associates, enhancing team capabilities and performance
Collaborate with various departments and senior leadership to drive financial strategies and achieve business objectives

Other roles that may be required to support operations

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or equivalent field
Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent
At least 5 years of relevant experience in financial modeling, analysis, finance operations and accounting
Tech-savvy and proficient with Microsoft Excel
Strong understanding of accounting principles and working tax regulations in the Philippines
High attention to detail and excited to learn new skills and tools
Knowledge of and experience in Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs), healthcare, insurance, or financial services industry, is a plus!
