Goal of Position
The incumbent will ensure the daily Finance & Accounting processes run properly in timely manner. The role will also perform treasury, audit and taxation tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting, Audit & Treasury
- Ensure daily Finance/Accounting/Audit process (A/R, A/P, G/L Fixed Assets, Treasury, and Audit) run properly in timely manner
- Ensure Monthly Balance Sheet Accounts are reconciled properly
- Ensure month-end closing is done smoothly timely; Meeting reporting deadlines required for closing e.g., Accruals, Service-Entry Sheet process etc.
- Ensure all payables process are controlled properly
- Ensure the receivables and credit management are well managed & controlled properly.
- Ensure all fixed assets are well managed and controlled properly
- Support in the periodic and year-end stock take/physical count
- Responsible for Treasury activities and related report including but not limited to Hedging transactions, RGI Applications, Cash Flow Management, Weekly STP/Monthly LTP reporting, FCF Deviation Analysis, Bank Signatory Update, etc.
- Ensure periodic reports for local state authorities i.e., Central Bank, Securities and Exchange Commision, City Treasurer of Makati) are submitted properly and timely
- Liaising with auditors during audit and preparation of the supporting schedules required or requested
- Liaise with local lawyers for the preparation of required board resolutions and coordinate internally for its signature
Taxation
- Coordinate with tax consultant to ensure local tax reporting E.g., WHT, DST, FBT, VAT Returns, etc. are filed timely, support on queries and documentations request from tax consultant
- Handle the preparation of supporting documents/ annexes in accordance with mandatory checklist and secure the necessary clearances or certifications required for the submission of VAT Refund with Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)
- Coordinate the processing of cheque refunds for approved VAT Refund amounts with Bureau of Internal Revenue or Bureau of Customs
- Support during tax audit and preparation of the supporting schedules required or requested
- Assistance on internally required tax reports in Global Tax Center i.e., Compliance Card, GTC Questionnaire and Annual GTC reporting.
Your Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Accounting
- With at least 2-4 years relevant experience or qualified Accountant
- With background in SAP systems
- With knowledge in taxation and audit
- Result oriented and able to work under pressure & tight deadline
- Familiar with Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent command and communication in English
