JOB SUMMARY

The Accounting Supervisor (Certified Public Accountant) is responsible for managing and supervising the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. This role involves overseeing general ledger activities, preparing financial statements, coordinating audits, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations. The supervisor also plays a key role in mentoring junior staff, streamlining accounting processes, and supporting strategic financial planning.


Duties

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Auditing: Conduct internal and external audits to assess financial operations and identify areas for improvement.
  • Tax Services: Prepare and file tax returns, advise on tax planning strategies, and ensure adherence to tax laws.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop financial forecasts, budgets, and models to support business planning.
  • Compliance: Ensure financial practices comply with laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Consulting: Provide strategic financial advice to clients or management on investments, cost control, and risk management.
  • Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for audits and reporting purposes.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • A Master’s degree or additional coursework in business administration or financial management is an advantage.
  • Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with an active license issued by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) in the Philippines
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in general accounting, auditing, or financial reporting.
  • At least 1–2 years in a supervisory or team lead role, managing accounting staff or overseeing financial operations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of government reporting requirements, especially for BIR and SEC compliance.
