  • Assists the Plant Manager with the over-all supervision of departmental personnel, general plant operation and maintenance to achieve the production objectives.
  • Conducts the daily inspection of all machinery and equipment, making sure that these are in good running condition.
  • Assigns, supervises and evaluates the work of the maintenance personnel in coordination with the Plant manager.
  • Requests and makes follow-up, if necessary, the outsourced technical services and additional tools needed by the maintenance section.
  • Reports machines/equipment failure and status of the machine/equipment maintenance work to the Plant Manager.
  • Planning, organizing, directing and running optimum day to day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations.
  • Coordinate with the Plant Manager in resolving plant issues in a timely manner.
  • Review all production orders and processing schedules and make critical decisions about workflow strategies to ensure customers receive goods on time.
  • Develop, implement and track quality control systems, utilizing feedback to reduce scrap and waste through employee education and other efficiency improvement
  • Set and monitor product standards by implementing testing procedures
  • Perform all other duties that may be required from time to time.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience in working as Assistant Plant Manager or Plant Supervisor (at least 3 years) preferably in a food manufacturing setting.
  • Strong aptitude on root cause analysis and troubleshooting operational problems
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Be knowledgeable on safety, quality, productivity and inventory processes.
  • Strong team building, decision making and people management skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or any related course.
