Backend Engineer – Technology & Logistics Platform

On behalf of our client in the technology and logistics platform industry, we are seeking a Backend Engineer to provide hands-on technical and operational support for mission-critical applications.

This role focuses on maintaining the stability, performance, and reliability of mobile and backend systems used by users and drivers. Reporting to the local technical team lead, you will work closely with both local and global engineering and operations teams to resolve issues, support rollouts, and continuously improve system operations while upholding the highest standards of data privacy and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Provide end-to-end support for mobile and backend applications.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to applications and services.
• Collaborate with local and global engineering teams to support daily operations.
• Customize and optimize tools to meet local data compliance requirements.
• Provide hands-on technical support during system rollouts and post-launch operations.
• Monitor systems, manage alerts, and debug issues to ensure operational stability.
• Handle sensitive data with integrity and accountability.
• Participate in ongoing compliance and data privacy initiatives.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in software engineering, application support, or technical operations for logistics platforms.
• Hands-on experience with one or more backend programming languages: Java, PHP, Node.js, or Go.
• Experience with middleware technologies such as Redis, Elasticsearch, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar.
• Strong understanding of backend microservices architectures and APIs.
• Experience with MySQL.
• Proven operational support experience, especially during launch or high-traffic periods.
• High sense of responsibility, integrity, and accountability, particularly with sensitive data.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
