The Legal and Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring that all necessary documentation and regulatory requirements are accurately complied, and maintained for the company and its subsidiaries.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for ensuring that the company adheres to all regulatory requirements, ensuring timely submission of reports, permits, or licenses as required, and maintains proper documentation in compliance with the government bodies.
  2. Collecting, organizing, and verifying all compliance-related documents.
  3. Ensuring all records are up-to-date and aligned with internal policies and external regulations.
  4. Drafting and implementing policies, manuals, and collaborating with management to address risks.
  5. Maintains open line of communication with all department to ensure consistent compliance practices.
  6. Acting as a liaison with regulatory bodies.
  7. Responds to emails, prepare legal documents, follow-up, updates and comply with the mandates of the following government agencies:
  8. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)
  9. Local Government Unit (City Hall)
  10. Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)
  11. Credit Information Corporation (CIC)
  12. National Privacy Commission (NPC)
  13. Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLA)
  14. Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas
  15. Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)
  16. Social Security System (SSS)
  17. Philhealth
  18. Pag-IBIG Fund (HDMF)


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Legal Management/ Law or related legal field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of compliance experience, preferably in a financial services or lending environment.
  • Relationship building with business partners and government agencies
  • Good english verbal and written communication skills (proficiency in other languages is a plus)
  • Ability to analyze situations, identify issues, and resolve them efficiently.
  • Familiarity with microsoft office applications, and government portals.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work well in a fast faced, team oriented environment.
  • Develop and implement an effective legal compliance program.
  • Create a sound internal controls, and monitor adherence to them


Schedule: Mondays thru Saturdays where Saturday is a WFH set up.
