The Construction Manager oversees the successful execution of multiple construction sites—specifically steel erection projects—ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, project scope, schedule, cost, quality standards, and contractual requirements. The role provides leadership in project planning, risk management, and stakeholder coordination, while ensuring safety and quality compliance from project inception to turnover.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage the overall execution of steel erection projects from planning to project turnover.
2. Oversee site managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project milestones and deliverables are achieved.
3. Develop, monitor, and control project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
4. Lead project planning activities, including risk assessment, construction sequencing, and mitigation strategies.
5. Ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and all contractual and regulatory requirements.
6. Administer contracts, manage changes and variations, and resolve technical and contractual issues.
7. Coordinate and communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
8. Provide guidance, mentoring, and performance management for site-based teams to maintain high standards of execution.
9. Prepare and present regular project progress reports to senior management and clients.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (required).
• Licenses/Certifications: PRC Civil Engineer License preferred; Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or related training is an advantage.
• Experience: Minimum 10 years in construction project management, including at least 5 years in a senior management role.
• Acceptable alternative: Non-licensed Civil Engineer with at least 15 years of project management experience.
• Preferred: Experience in multi-site management, particularly in steel erection projects.
• Skills & Competencies:
• Proficient in project planning, contract administration, cost control, and construction sequencing.
• Strong knowledge of risk management and ability to resolve technical and contractual issues.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Skilled in budget management, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Physical & Safety Requirements: Fit to work in both office and field environments and willing to travel or be assigned to project sites as needed.
