Description

  • Assigns drivers and vehicles to convey freight or passengers to assigned destination.
  • Arrange shipments by checking stock to determine inventory levels, anticipating delivery requirements, and placing and expediting orders.
  • Keeps customers informed by forwarding notice of item availability, shipment date and method, current status, and answering questions.
  • Tracks driver assignments and other shipping data in a computer database.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as arranging transportation methods, and managing shipping schedules.
  • Ensure that electronic or paper files are kept accurately and up-to-date in order to track orders and answer billing questions.
  • Assist in inspecting orders that arrive at the facility to identify damage and input information into inventory records.
  • Handle replacement for incorrect or damaged goods
  • Prepare shipping paperwork, complete shipping transactions in supply chain system, and ship products per customer requirements
  • Assist with warehouse organization
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 + years of dispatching/logistics experience
  • Forklift certification or the ability to get certified is required
  • Excellent communication skills are required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office required
