Description

Engineer Supervisor

An Engineer Supervisor oversees and leads a team of engineers within a specific department or project. They are responsible for ensuring that engineering processes, designs, and implementations are executed efficiently, safely, and to the required specifications. The role involves supervising technical staff, coordinating projects, ensuring compliance with standards, and troubleshooting complex issues. The Engineer Supervisor acts as a bridge between management and the engineering team, ensuring effective communication and high-quality results.


Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and lead a team of engineers, ensuring they follow company protocols, safety standards, and project timelines.

Plan, organize, and oversee engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

A bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, civil, or related field) is required. A master’s degree may be preferred for more senior roles.

Several years of experience as an engineer (typically 5+ years), with a proven track record in leading or supervising engineering teams.

Experience with project management, budgeting, and scheduling in an engineering environment.


Skills and Abilities:

Strong leadership and management skills to guide, motivate, and support a team of engineers.

In-depth technical knowledge in the relevant engineering discipline (e.g., mechanical, electrical, civil).

Excellent problem-solving skills to identify solutions to complex technical issues.
