Primary Details

The purpose of this role is to oversee the processing, analysis, and reporting of financial transactions, budgeting processes, financial planning, analysis, and management accounting activities. This includes providing leadership, direction, and coordination of operational activities, ensuring accuracy and consistency of accounting and reporting activities, and supporting compliance with IFRS standards. Additionally, the role involves managing end-to-end billing and collections processes, providing technical accounting support, and producing various financial reports for multiple entities.


  • Additional Job Description:
    • Assist with QBE Australian Operations statutory accounts in accordance with Australian accounting standards.
    • Assist with monthly and quarterly QBE Group reporting package in accordance with Australian accounting standards and group reporting instructions.
    • Complete quarterly tax calculations and tax package report, for review of Tax Manager.
    • Assist with other regular or ad hoc financial reports and analyses and preparation of journal entries, as required
    • Perform complex reconciliations.
    • Perform analytical review to support financial reports.
    • Investigation of medium to complex accounting issues and ensure prompt resolution.
    • Monitor submission of audit requirements and assist in responding to audit queries.


Qualifications

Knowledge


  • Fundamental knowledge of organizational accounting procedures
  • Thorough understanding of best practice accounting

Experience


  • At least 4 years experience in an accounting role
  • With at least 2 years audit experience, experience in Big 4 an advantage
  • Accounting graduate, CPA a must
