Our client, a rapidly expanding bank in the Philippines, is actively seeking an experienced Head of Collections at the Vice President level. This pivotal leadership role will be responsible for enhancing and executing the bank's collections strategy. The successful candidate will work closely with risk, credit, and fraud teams to ensure robust portfolio management, recoveries, and compliance. What You'll Do

As the Head of Collections at our client's fast-growing bank in the Philippines, you will play a crucial role in leading its collections strategy. Your excellent problem-solving skills will be put to use as you drive the bank’s overall collections strategy for both consumer and commercial portfolios. You will also be tasked with developing policies, processes, and tools that not only improve collections effectiveness but also support customer experience goals. Your ability to work cross-functionally will be essential as you partner with Risk, Credit, Legal, and other internal teams to manage non-performing accounts and legal recovery actions.

  • Drive the bank’s overall collections strategy for both consumer and commercial portfolios
  • Develop and refine policies, processes, and tools to improve collections effectiveness while supporting customer experience goals
  • Ensure strong alignment across credit risk management, fraud mitigation, and recovery operations
  • Partner with Risk, Credit, Legal, and other internal teams to manage non-performing accounts and legal recovery actions
  • Track, analyze, and report key performance indicators to senior leadership
  • Manage relationships with external collection partners to ensure quality, compliance, and performance standards are met
  • Uphold regulatory compliance, data protection, and ethical collection practices in all aspects of operations
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of collections professionals

Your working knowledge of fraud risk management as it relates to credit and collections activities will be essential in this role. Your strong leadership capabilities, coupled with your results-oriented mindset, will enable you to lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of collections professionals.

  • Solid foundation in credit lifecycle management
  • Proven expertise in collections operations and strategy
  • Working knowledge of fraud risk management as it relates to credit and collections activities
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a results-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage stakeholders at all levels
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or related field; Master’s degree is a plus
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in credit, collections within banking or financial services
  • Minimum 3–5 years in a senior leadership or VP-level role in collections
