Description

The Human Resource Department Manager will lead the overall HR operations of the company, ensuring alignment between people strategies and organizational goals. This role is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing HR policies and programs covering recruitment, employee relations, training and development, compensation and benefits, compliance, and performance management.


Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Strategy
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the company’s overall business objectives.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to the HR team to deliver excellent HR services.
  • Act as a business partner to senior management, offering insights and recommendations on organizational development.
  • Recruitment & Talent Management
  • Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process to attract, select, and retain top talent.
  • Design and execute talent development and succession planning programs.
  • Ensure onboarding programs are effective in integrating new employees.
  • Employee Relations
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment through open communication and employee engagement programs.
  • Manage conflict resolution, grievance handling, and disciplinary actions in line with company policies and labor laws.
  • Promote company values and ensure a high-performance culture.
  • Compensation & Benefits
  • Design and review competitive compensation packages, benefits, and incentive schemes.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll and statutory benefits (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, etc.).
  • Compliance & Policy Management
  • Ensure compliance with Philippine labor laws and government regulations.
  • Regularly review and update company policies, handbooks, and procedures.
  • Training & Development
  • Identify training needs and design programs to enhance employee skills and leadership capabilities.
  • Implement performance evaluation systems that support growth and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Master’s degree or HR-related certifications (e.g., CHRP, SHRM, PHRi) preferred.
  • At least 7–10 years of HR experience, with a minimum of 3–5 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws, HR best practices, and organizational development.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop an HR team.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office applications.


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Master’s degree in HR, Business Administration (MBA), or related discipline preferred.

Work Experience

  • At least 5 years of progressive HR experience, with a minimum of 3–5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Strong background in all areas of HR: recruitment, employee relations, compensation & benefits, training & development, labor law compliance, and performance management.
  • Experience in strategic workforce planning and organizational development.

Knowledge & Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of Philippine labor laws and regulations (or country-specific labor code).
  • Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems) and MS Office applications.
  • Strong understanding of HR metrics, analytics, and reporting.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to align HR initiatives with business goals.
  • Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.

Leadership Competencies

  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop HR teams.
  • Demonstrated capacity to build strong relationships with executives and employees.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Change management and organizational development capabilities.

Other Preferred Qualifications

  • HR certifications (e.g., CHRP, CHRM, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHRi, SPHRi) are an advantage.
  • Experience in handling union negotiations and labor relations (if applicable).
  • Background in implementing HR digital transformation or automation projects.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and growing business environment.
