As a member of our kitchen team at JT's Manukan Grill, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional food and ensuring smooth kitchen operations. Whether you’re prepping ingredients, cooking dishes, or maintaining a clean and organized workspace, your contributions will directly impact the quality and efficiency of our kitchen. This is an exciting opportunity to grow your culinary skills and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where teamwork and passion for food are key.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of fresh ingredients, chopping vegetables, measuring portions, and assembling dishes according to our recipes and quality standards.
  • Cooking & Plating: Prepare and cook menu items accurately and consistently. Ensure dishes are presented beautifully and meet our restaurant’s high standards.
  • Cleanliness & Safety: Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, including following strict food safety and sanitation guidelines. Ensure work areas and cooking equipment are cleaned and sanitized regularly.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork: Work closely with fellow kitchen staff to ensure that all orders are fulfilled quickly, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
  • Inventory Support: Help with receiving, storing, and organizing kitchen inventory, ensuring all items are fresh, well-stocked, and ready for use.
  • Adherence to Procedures: Follow all operational procedures, including prep lists, food safety protocols, and specific kitchen practices designed to ensure consistency and quality.


Qualifications:

  • Previous Kitchen Experience: Prior experience in a kitchen or food service environment is a plus, but not required. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.
  • Passion for Food: A love for cooking and working with food is key to thriving in this role.
  • Ability to Work Under Pressure: Comfort working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm, focused demeanor.
  • Team-Oriented: A strong team player who can collaborate effectively with others in a busy kitchen setting.
  • Attention to Detail: You take pride in your work, ensuring that every dish is prepared and presented to the highest standards.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to [X] lbs, and handle a physically demanding role.
