Job Summary

  • Responsible in planning the lighting arrangements of a space in collaboration with designers, architects and engineers to design the lighting for a commercial, industrial or residential space. Combining technical knowledge about lighting science with creative vision to establish the best lighting layout for a space.

 Job Description

  • Collaborating with designers, architects, and engineers regarding floor plans, ceiling plans, electrical plans, and rendered photos of projects
  • Recommends the lighting layout for certain space with respect to the products of Keystone Lamps and Shades Inc.
  • Drafts lighting plans in DIALux Software for residential, commercial, and retail spaces
  • Goes to the project site to verify information and to determine best lighting solutions for clients
  • Keeps company updated about architectural lighting

Job Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field
  • 2-3 years of experience as lighting designer or related field  
  • Proficiency with DIALux software is an advantage
  • Strong communication, collaboration, time management, and creativity skills
  • Technical knowledge about lighting, and reading architectural plans
  • Willing to do field work
