Description

Job Title: Site Engineer – Plumbing Works (High-Rise Building Projects)

Department: Engineering / Construction

Reports To: Project Manager / Construction Manager

Job Summary:

The Site Engineer for Plumbing Works is responsible for overseeing and managing all plumbing installations and related activities in high-rise building projects. This role ensures that all plumbing systems (water supply, drainage, sewage, and stormwater systems) are installed according to approved plans, codes, and specifications, within the set timeline and budget, while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Project Planning & Coordination

  • Review project plans, plumbing layouts, and specifications.
  • Coordinate with the design team, consultants, subcontractors, and other disciplines (civil, electrical, mechanical).
  • Prepare work schedules and manpower allocation for plumbing activities.

Site Supervision & Execution

  • Supervise on-site plumbing works, ensuring compliance with plans and standards.
  • Monitor installation of pipes, fixtures, valves, pumps, and other plumbing components.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure progress, quality, and safety compliance.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Ensure all works comply with local plumbing codes, building regulations, and project specifications.
  • Conduct material inspections and verify that only approved materials are used.
  • Coordinate testing and commissioning of plumbing systems (e.g., hydrostatic tests, flow tests).

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of site activities, progress reports, and as-built drawings.
  • Prepare daily and weekly progress reports for management.
  • Assist in preparing cost estimates, BOQs, and variation orders.

Resource & Material Management

  • Monitor material requirements and ensure timely procurement and delivery.
  • Optimize manpower and equipment usage for cost efficiency.

Safety & Risk Management

  • Enforce safety regulations and ensure safe work practices at all times.
  • Identify and address potential risks or issues on-site.


Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Sanitary Engineering.

License:

  • Registered Engineer (PRC) preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in plumbing works for high-rise building projects.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, standards, and best practices.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
  • Good project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office applications.
