The Merchandising Specialist is responsible for ensuring that products are strategically promoted to maximize sales and enhance customer experience. This role involves analyzing sales trends, managing inventory, coordinating with suppliers, and implementing merchandising strategies in line with the company’s goals.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Merchandising Strategy & Execution:

  • Develop and implement merchandising plans to increase product visibility and sales.
  • Ensure proper product placement, pricing, and promotional displays in-store and online.
  • Monitor and adjust merchandising strategies based on sales performance and market trends.

2. Inventory Management & Analysis:

  • Track stock levels and coordinate with the supply chain team to prevent overstock or stockouts.
  • Analyze sales data to determine product performance and recommend reordering or discontinuation.
  • Conduct regular store visits or online audits to assess product availability and presentation.

3. Collaboration & Coordination:

  • Work closely with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of merchandise.
  • Coordinate with marketing teams for promotional campaigns and seasonal launches.
  • Train store staff on proper merchandising techniques and product knowledge.

4. Market Research & Trend Analysis:

  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor strategies, and consumer preferences.
  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities for new product lines or improvements.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on competitor benchmarking.

5. Reporting & Documentation:

  • Prepare reports on sales performance, inventory levels, and merchandising effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate records of product placements, pricing, and promotions.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field.
  • Experience in merchandising, retail, or supply chain management is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, inventory management systems, and merchandising software.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Attention to detail and knowledge in styling and visual merchandising
