In this position, you will be assigned to a UK-based client that specializes in pressure care solutions. They provide high-quality products, including mattresses, seating, and cushions, designed to prevent pressure ulcers. The client also offers clinical training and consultancy to support healthcare organizations in delivering optimal care. With a strong commitment to quality, they partner with care homes, NHS trusts, and hospices to improve patient outcomes.

As an Operations Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth procurement, logistics, and administrative functions. You will be responsible for managing stock levels, supplier relationships, tracking deliveries, overseeing internal processes, and ensuring efficient operations across the business. Your work will directly contribute to client’s values, fostering a fast-paced, human-centred, and high-ownership environment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Proactively manage purchasing and procurement, ensuring timely and accurate order processing.
  • Act as a key point of contact between suppliers and internal teams to maintain seamless operations.

  • Run shortage reports and act swiftly to maintain optimal stock levels and ensure timely order fulfilment.
  • Ensure prompt and accurate order processing, including PO creation, tracking, and supplier follow-ups.
  • Chase overdue orders and expedite deliveries to avoid disruptions in business operations.

  • Maintain positive and effective communication with suppliers, warehouse teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Foster strong collaboration with Customer Service, Sales, and Servicing teams to address delivery and product queries.

  • Own and optimise procurement processes for client, ensuring continuous improvements to meet business requirements.
  • Update systems to maintain accurate procurement and delivery records.
  • Follow orders through to delivery, ensuring a prompt, efficient, and cost-effective service.
  • Take responsibility for supplier relationships, reporting accuracy, and inventory control.
  • Support the servicing and customer service department during staff absences.

  • Utilise data and reporting tools to track procurement performance and suggest improvements.

Your Background

Essential Criteria

  • 3-4 years of experience in in operations coordination, procurement, or supply chain management.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, work independently, and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent time management skills, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • High attention to detail with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with internal teams and suppliers.

Desirable Criteria

  • Certification in Project Management or Procurement (e.g., CIPS Level 3+).
  • Experience using CRM, Procurement or ERP systems (Pipedrive, OGL.).
  • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis tools).
  • Understanding of cost-saving initiatives, supplier negotiations, and GP targets.
  • Previous experience in managing supplier complaints and product quality issues.
  • Strong commercial awareness and a strategic approach to procurement.
