The Process & Quality Systems Lead is responsible for driving process improvements, conducting operational audits, and leading quality and compliance initiatives across the organization. This role ensures that workflows in logistics, merchandising, finance, and store operations within an FMCG / food distribution environment are efficient, compliant, and aligned with company standards. The position supports continuous improvement initiatives, applies Six Sigma methodologies, and contributes to ISO 9001 certification readiness through strong documentation, audit, and reporting practices.
Key Responsibilities
1. Process Improvement & Optimization
- Analyze, map, and optimize workflows across logistics, merchandising, finance, and store operations
- Identify inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities to enhance productivity, accuracy, and turnaround time
- Lead initiatives to reduce waste and process variation using Six Sigma and continuous improvement tools
- Collaborate with department heads to pilot, implement, and sustain process enhancements
- Support data automation and reporting initiatives using tools such as SAP, Microsoft Power Automate, Excel scripting, and Microsoft 365 applications
2. Process & Operational Audits
- Develop, implement, and maintain audit frameworks to assess operational compliance, efficiency, and process effectiveness
- Conduct regular internal audits across departments to ensure adherence to approved SOPs and policies
- Document audit findings, recommend corrective and preventive actions, and track closure of identified gaps
- Prepare audit reports and present insights to management for decision-making
3. Quality Control & Compliance
- Define, implement, and monitor quality standards for data accuracy, product handling, service delivery, and operational reporting
- Oversee quality checks related to store visit reports, expiry monitoring, RTV handling, inventory accuracy, and distribution performance
- Work closely with merchandisers, supervisors, and operations teams to ensure consistent quality execution across stores and HORECA / food service clients
- Support compliance with internal standards and applicable food, safety, and operational requirements
4. Six Sigma & ISO 9001 Support
- Apply Six Sigma methodologies (DMAIC, root cause analysis, control charts) to improve process performance and quality outcomes
- Train and mentor internal teams on basic process improvement and quality tools
- Support the development of an ISO 9001 roadmap, including documentation, gap analysis, and internal audit preparation
- Coordinate with external consultants and certifying bodies as needed
5. Documentation, Reporting & Governance
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date SOPs, process maps, audit records, and quality documentation
- Develop and maintain centralized dashboards, KPIs, and visual management reports for leadership review
- Track process performance, audit results, and quality metrics to support continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field
- At least 3–5 years of experience in process improvement, quality systems, operations audit, or related roles
- Experience in FMCG, food distribution, retail, logistics, warehousing, or HORECA operations is highly preferred
- Background in manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environments is acceptable with demonstrated exposure to operational audits or cross-functional processes
- Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies and ISO 9001 standards
