Description

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to identify procurement needs and requirements.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, price, delivery, and other criteria.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms and contracts.
  • Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular supplier evaluations.
  • Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, including requisition, sourcing, bidding, negotiation, and purchase.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through effective negotiation, strategic sourcing, and supplier consolidation.
  • Monitor market trends and changes that could impact procurement costs.
  • Review and manage contracts, agreements, and terms with suppliers to ensure legal and financial compliance.
  • Collaborate with legal and relevant departments to draft and negotiate contracts.
  • Collaborate with inventory management teams to optimize stock levels and minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
  • Identify areas for process improvement within the procurement function and implement best practices.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team, ensuring optimal performance and professional growth.
  • Generate regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost savings.
  • Analyze data to provide insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. 
  • Proven experience of at least 10 years in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, with at least five (5) years in a managerial capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement principles, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and laws related to procurement.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset and the ability to analyze data to make informed decisions.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to align procurement strategies with company objectives.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Collaborative and proactive approach to problem-solving.
