Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the sourcing and selection of suppliers for both project and operational needs
  • Oversee canvassing, cost comparison, and supplier evaluation
  • Handle supplier identification, prequalification, and onboarding based on company standards
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
  • Set cost-saving goals and monitor procurement targets
  • Supervise contract negotiations and ensure terms are within company guidelines

Specific Duties:

  • Review and approve Purchase Request Slips (PRS) for accuracy and completeness
  • Supervise canvassing of material costs for upcoming projects
  • Review and release RFQs to selected suppliers and contractors
  • Analyze quotations based on price, quality, delivery, and compliance with project needs
  • Scout for suppliers with the best pricing, availability, and terms
  • Make sure purchases fit within budget and match specifications
  • Monitor and document incoming deliveries; ensure proper filing of records
  • Track and report purchasing activity to management
  • Coordinate with suppliers and warehouse staff for smooth delivery and storage
  • Follow up on orders and solve any delivery issues
  • Check Sales Invoices and Receiving Reports for payment processing
  • Guide junior procurement staff and work closely with other departments

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of Civil, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or related course
  • At least 2 years of experience in procurement.
  • Preferably with background in construction
  • Good leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with procurement or ERP systems
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Can manage multiple procurement tasks and lead a small team
