This role is essential to delivering seamless, cashless fare payment services to commuters and ensuring proper cash and card handling procedures are followed.

As a fixed presence beyond the rollout of Onboarding Deployment, the OPPA ensures ongoing customer support, public education, and day-to-day booth operations at the terminal. This role requires strong communication skills, exceptional trustworthiness, and comfort using our Card Management System (CMS) device.

Key Responsibilities:Customer Transactions & Public Engagement

  • Sell OneLink fare cards to passengers directly from the booth.
  • Offer real-time top-ups, refund processing, and card returns using the CMS device.
  • Promote awareness of the OneLink AFCS solution, assisting the public in understanding tap-on/tap-off procedures and available services.
  • Answer basic inquiries about OneLink’s semi-cashless and cashless system and direct escalated concerns to the analyst or support team.

Device Operation & Troubleshooting

  • Operate the OneLink CMS device to handle all card transactions efficiently.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting (e.g., rebooting, checking network/data connectivity, clearing sync errors).
  • Report any device or system issues to the Analyst promptly, ensuring minimal service interruption.

Cash & Stock Handling

  • Receive daily stock from the Distributor each morning, including:
  • CMS device
  • OneLink cards
  • Float cash / change
  • Conduct start-of-day and end-of-day handovers using standardized Handover Forms, ensuring stock and cash balances are accurately tracked and agreed upon.
  • Hand over cash and unsold inventory to the Analyst or Collector at the end of each shift.
  • Immediately report any discrepancies in cash, card stock, or device logs via the appropriate escalation and documentation channels.

Accountability & Daily Reporting

  • Ensure all transactions (sales, top-ups, refunds, returns) are recorded accurately in the CMS.
  • Submit booth activity reports as part of daily end-of-day reconciliation with the Analyst.
  • Keep booth areas organized, professional, and stocked with the necessary equipment and signage.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in cash handling, retail, booth sales, or customer service preferred.
  • Trustworthy, detail-oriented, and highly accountable in managing cash and inventory.
  • Tech-savvy and confident in using mobile or tablet-based POS devices (Android familiarity ideal).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (Tagalog required; English and other dialects an advantage).
  • Comfortable educating and engaging with the public.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision while following established protocols.
  • Willing to be assigned permanently at terminal locations, with availability for early starts or evening closures depending on route schedules.
  • Willing to relocate to other places as required by Onboarding Deployment.
