Role: Design Estimator

Work Arrangement: Work From Home

Location: Any CS Branch - Ortigas/Makati/Angeles/Mabalacat/Davao/Cebu/Bacolod

Schedule: Morning Shift

The role of the Estimator is to review all relevant job documentation and develop an accurate assessment of the labour, material and plant items required. Based on their findings they will create jobs set up in a way that clearly sets out the individual requirements, staging and budget expectations. Primary Responsibilities: Functional Area Key Accountabilities

Key Responsibilities:

Administration & Document Control

• Represent the company in a manner that is in line with our mission and values.
• Responsible for managing all projects’ email messages within set timeframes (KPI). Tag email messages appropriately and follow up where necessary.
• Accurately review all received project/job information. Request further information where required in a timely and professional manner.
• Ultimately responsible for the effective management of all job documentation stored on company server. 
• Ultimately responsible for the effective management of jobs/sites creation and archiving within job management software.
• Assist in creation and maintenance of required Prebuilds.
• Liaise with authorities for job related matters (ie, VBA, Council etc)
• Ultimately responsible for the creation and lodgement of VBA compliance certificates to accurately reflect the scope of job.

Estimation and Design

• Conduct take offs and provide quotations as instructed ensuring that inclusions/exclusions are accurately set out to protect the interests of at all times.
• Accurately review all required project/job information to determine the scope of job.
• Mark up plans to accurately reflect what is called for on the given job documentation.
• Accurately design and pin point all drain risers with calculated dimensions.
• All jobs to be designed to comply with the relevant regulations and Australian Standards.
• Create jobs in management software that accurately set out the scope, material, labour and plant items required for the successful execution by the Operations Team.
• Application of all customer supplied purchase orders against relevant

Operational Support

• Primary escalation point for any client pricing or inclusion issues and is responsible for ensuring that these are addressed in a professional and timely manner.
• Provide support to the Operations Team and field staff for further information required onsite (ie, specs, measurements etc)

Reporting

• Review profit and loss reports. Any discrepancies above/below agreed threshold to be investigated and reported to GM.
• Monitors the amount of incoming jobs

• Outstanding professional written and verbal communication.
• Great interpersonal skills
• Able to concentrate for long periods
• Able to work accurately with figures
• Able to work independently or as part of a team
• Aptitude for working with computers
• Commercial awareness
• Strong customer orientation
• Strong knowledge of the construction industry.

Non-negotiable skills & requirements:

• Intermediate skills in MS Excel
• Proficient in the use of Bluebeam
• Experienced in the Construction and/or Plumbing Industry.
• Ability to analyze large amounts of data and enact change based on findings.
