Role Overview:

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing complex technical projects from inception to completion. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and leadership capabilities to ensure successful project delivery within scope, time, and budget constraints. The Senior Technical Project Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders, to define project objectives, develop project plans, and implement effective strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Delivery and Management:

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of technical projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and client requirements. Develop detailed project plans and manage project teams across various functions.

• Monitor project progress, manage timelines, and implement corrective actions to ensure on-time delivery. Utilize project management tools and methodologies (such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall) to enhance efficiency.

• Consult with stakeholders to understand project goals and scope, facilitating communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders. Manage project budgets and drive compliance with IT standards and best practices

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:

• Identify and engage relevant stakeholders, including internal teams, external partners, clients, and executives. Develop strategies to ensure stakeholder involvement and buy-in throughout the project lifecycle.

• Create comprehensive communication plans, set clear expectations, and provide regular status updates. Actively solicit feedback and address conflicts, fostering strong relationships through transparency and responsiveness.

Continuous Improvement and Documentation:

• Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process enhancements and implementing best practices. Maintain accurate records of stakeholder interactions, decisions made, and feedback received.

• Assess stakeholder satisfaction throughout the project and after completion, gathering insights to improve future stakeholder management practices.

Vendor Management:

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors based on project requirements.

• Negotiate contracts and SLAs, ensuring clear terms and favorable conditions.

• Monitor vendor performance and compliance, addressing issues promptly.

• Foster strong vendor relationships and manage vendor-related expenses.

Risk and Issue Management:

• Identify and evaluate potential risks, developing mitigation strategies.

• Monitor and resolve project issues, maintaining a risk and issue log.

• Communicate risks and issues transparently to stakeholders.

• Conduct regular reviews and post-project assessments to improve practices.

Budget and Cost Management:

• Create and manage comprehensive project budgets, ensuring alignment with financial policies.

• Monitor expenditures, implement cost control measures, and assess financial impacts of changes. • Provide regular financial reports and maintain open communication with stakeholders.

• Conduct post-project financial reviews to identify lessons learned and best practices.

Job Requirement:

• Key Responsibilities: Manager: A minimum of 15 years of working experience and minimum of at least 7 years experience in the role of Senior Project Manager is required. (Senior minimum 5 years of practical project management experience)

• Industry Experience: Proven experience within a Financial Services Organization (FSO), such as Banking or Insurance, is mandatory.

• Documentation Skills: Exceptional proficiency in documenting processes is essential.

• Project Delivery: Demonstrated experience in managing and delivering end-to-end projects is required.

• Location: Candidates must be based in the Philippines.

• Technical Knowledge: A working knowledge of API structures, mobile/web application development, SQL, cloud-based technologies (such as Azure or AWS), full-stack technologies (including Java with Angular/React), and business intelligence tools (such as Power BI or Tableau) is necessary.

• Design Skills: Experience in creating wireframes, prototypes, data flow diagrams, and workflows is required.

• Methodology: An agile approach with a strong emphasis on execution is expected.

• Tools Proficiency: Extensive knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, or other product management tools is essential.

• Communication Skills: The ability to draw conclusions and effectively communicate findings to both technical and non-technical team members is crucial, along with strong leadership skills across project teams and the business community.

• Problem-Solving Ability: Capability to propose solutions to traditional back-office processes in alignment with new digital requirements is essential.

• Innovative Thinking: A mindset that fosters innovative thinking to overcome barriers and deliver unique solutions is highly valued.

• Expertise in Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and Waterfall methodologies, with a proven ability to tailor approaches based on project requirements and team dynamics.

• In-depth knowledge of software development life cycles (SDLC), API integration, cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure), and full-stack development (e.g., Java, React, Angular).

• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams of 10+ members, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and accountability.

• Skilled in conducting stakeholder analysis and developing engagement strategies to manage relationships with clients, executives, and team members effectively.

• Strong ability to present complex technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders, utilizing tools like PowerPoint, data analytics applications and dashboards for effective reporting.

• Demonstrated ability to pivot project strategies in response to changing business needs or technology advancements, maintaining project momentum.

• Strong focus on implementing quality assurance processes and ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, CMMI) throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree and exceptional communication skills.

• Minimum of 7 years of experience as a full-time project manager, preferably in financial services, banking, or insurance sectors.

• Proven track record of managing medium to large-scale or complex IT projects, with experience in leading cross-functional teams.

• Strong understanding of IT systems, technologies, and methodologies relevant to banking and financial services.

• Familiarity with SDLC, Agile methodologies, and project management tools; certifications in PMP, SCRUM, or PRINCE2 preferred.

• Expertise in change management and the ability to address resistance to change.

• Proficient in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.

• Skilled in identifying and mitigating project risks related to security, compliance, and data privacy. • Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.

• Self-motivated, independent, and capable of generating and analyzing multiple solutions to problems.
