Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Project Management Officer (PMO) to support and drive a major digital transformation program in the banking sector. This role requires strong leadership in project governance, centralized program support, and cross-functional coordination to ensure complex initiatives are delivered successfully, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and oversee governance frameworks, processes, and escalation paths across large-scale projects.
  • Define and track KPIs and performance metrics to monitor program execution.
  • Provide centralized support for project teams, offering tools, templates, and guidance on best practices.
  • Partner with senior leadership and delivery managers to resolve issues and mitigate risks.
  • Deliver comprehensive reports on project status, risks, and milestones to executives and stakeholders.
  • Lead effective stakeholder communication to ensure alignment and manage expectations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing project performance and recommending enhancements.
  • Conduct training and knowledge-sharing sessions to strengthen project management capability across teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of direct Project Management experience leading teams in the banking, financial services, or insurance industries.
  • Strong leadership and facilitation skills with the ability to influence across multiple levels of the organization.
  • Proven experience managing PMO functions for enterprise-level or complex programs.
  • Expertise in governance, reporting, and stakeholder management.
  • Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Hands-on experience with multiple project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, Iterative).
  • Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Confluence, or similar).
  • Demonstrated experience in managing enterprise-scale application or digital transformation projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
