We're Hiring: Prompt Engineer with API Expertise (Virtual Assistant)

Role Summary

RM Worthy is seeking a highly skilled Prompt Engineer VA / AI Agent & Workflow Developer to design and implement intelligent, automated systems powered by large language models (LLMs). This role blends prompt engineering, API integration, and workflow automation to solve real-world business challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Prompt & Conversation Design

• Design structured, multi-turn prompts using advanced techniques (chain-of-thought, personas, JSON formatting, RAG, etc.)

• Ensure precise intent recognition while minimizing hallucinations and ambiguity

LLM Integration

• Set up and configure LLM endpoints using protocols like MCP, JSON-RPC, and others

• Support retrieval, multi-agent orchestration, and tool calling workflows

API & Automation Integration

• Connect agents to tools (CRMs, messaging platforms, email systems, etc.) via REST APIs, webhooks, and automation platforms like Zapier

Workflow & Agent Development

• Build modular AI agents with clear intent routing, memory handling, flow control, and tool use

Debugging & Evaluation

• Monitor logs, diagnose prompt/API issues, and implement performance improvements

Testing & Deployment

• Validate agent responses, run test cases, and implement guardrails against hallucination and injection attacks

Documentation & Training

• Create clear internal documentation and provide training on AI tools, workflows, and usage best practices

Technical Expertise

• Strong background in prompt engineering and LLM integration (ChatGPT, Claude, open-source models, etc.)

• Proficient with REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, and authentication flows

• Skilled in scripting (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for automations and tests

• Familiar with low-code/no-code AI platforms

• Understanding of AI agent lifecycle, including deployment, monitoring, and security

Soft Skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Detail-oriented, especially in maintaining quality and security standards

Bonus Points

• Experience with Zapier, Integromat (Make), or similar tools
