Qualifications:

• Licensed Radiologic Technologist (PRC).
• With updated Radiation Safety Training (preferred).
• Experience in a diagnostic or hospital setting is an advantage.
• Knowledgeable in CR/DR systems, PACS, and RIS.
• Strong attention to detail and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

A. Diagnostic Imaging

• Perform standard radiographic procedures (Chest, Skull, Upper/Lower Extremities, Abdomen, Spine).
• Ensure proper patient positioning, technique, and exposure settings.
• Operate X-ray, digital radiography, and CR/DR systems safely and efficiently.
• Assist radiologists during specialized imaging procedures.

B. Radiation Safety & Compliance

• Implement ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles.
• Use protective shields, dosimeters, and strictly follow DOH radiation safety protocols.
• Conduct routine equipment QC (calibration, warm-up procedures, image quality checks).
• Maintain radiation safety logs and comply with FDA-DOH licensing requirements.

C. Patient Care

• Verify patient identity and provide clear instructions before procedures.
• Conduct pre-procedure assessment, checking for pregnancy risk when applicable.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout imaging.

D. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of imaging procedures.
• Upload, tag, and archive images in the PACS/RIS systems.
• Report machine issues for immediate troubleshooting.
