The Retail Sales Operations Manager leads the entire retail business of 40 stores and mobile outlets, ensuring smooth operations, consistent growth, and strong customer experience. A key mandate is to absorb at least 70% of company production into retail sales, maximizing profitability and reducing reliance on wholesale or external distribution.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Sales & Production Alignment (Strategic)
Ensure at least 70% of total production (eggs) is channeled through retail stores and mobileoutlets.
Work closely with Production Planning to align output with store demand and seasonal trends.
Develop sales initiatives, promotions, and bundling strategies to push retail volume.
Revenue & Growth
Drive sales performance across all outlets to meet monthly and annual targets.
Grow same-store sales while managing profitability of each outlet.
Launch and scale mobile retail units as a growth channel.
Operations Excellence
Standardize SOPs across stores and ensure operational efficiency.
Oversee inventory control, shrinkage management, and proper handling of fresh produce.
Implement best practices for merchandising and customer-facing displays.
Team Leadership
Lead Area Supervisors/Cluster across the network.
Recruit, train, and motivate store staff for performance and customer service.
Design performance-based incentives for retail teams.
Customer & Market Development
Strengthen customer experience and loyalty programs.
Gather customer insights to improve products, pricing, and promotions.
Manage brand visibility through stores and mobile units.
Reporting & Analysis
Provide weekly/monthly performance reports (sales, inventory, production absorption).
Identify underperforming outlets and execute corrective action.
Support retail expansion planning with data-driven insights.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
70% of production consistently sold via retail (primary KPI).
Sales growth % year-on-year.
Same-store sales growth (SSSG).
Per-store profitability (contribution margin).
Retail inventory turnover & wastage levels.
Customer satisfaction (NPS/feedback).
Employee turnover and training compliance.
Store audit scores (operations & merchandising).
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred.
At least 5 years of experience in retail operations, specifically in a supervisory or team lead role.
Strong understanding of daily retail operations, including opening/closing procedures, inventory control, and staffing.
Familiarity with sales reporting, performance analysis, and compliance with company and government regulations.
Great customer service skills including upselling and resolving customer complaints effectively.
Experience in supervising, scheduling, and training retail staff.
Excellent leadership skills.
Knowledge of inventory systems, receiving procedures, stock rotation, and loss prevention.
