Description
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and food preparation.
- Supervise kitchen staff and ensure high-quality food standards.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization.
- Manage inventory and minimize food waste.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Handle cooking and presentation of dishes during service.
Requirements
- Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts or related field.
- Experience Level: 1-3 years of experience in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Skills and Competencies: Proficient in cooking techniques, kitchen hygiene, and mise-en-place. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Responsibilities and Duties: Assist Head Chef in menu preparation, ensure kitchen cleanliness, and oversee kitchen staff.
- Working Conditions: Fast-paced kitchen environment, requiring heavy lifting and standing for long periods.
- Qualities and Traits: Self-starter with attention to detail, customer-oriented, and able to maintain discretion.
