Overview


As a Technical Recruiter IV, you will play a critical role in driving full-cycle recruitment efforts across TELUS Digital. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong sourcing skills and a passion for identifying top IT talent. You'll work closely with hiring managers and other key stakeholders, providing market insights, sourcing strategies, and end-to-end recruitment support to ensure the timely and successful hiring of high-caliber technical professionals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full-cycle recruitment process including planning, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for IT hiring, particularly in niche and hard-to-fill roles.
  • Collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand role requirements and define ideal candidate profiles.
  • Provide real-time market insights including competitive salary rates, talent availability, and sourcing trends.
  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for IT professionals (e.g., Software Developers, DBAs, Infrastructure Engineers, Project Managers).
  • Leverage platforms such as LinkedIn, job boards (e.g., Jobstreet, Monster), social media (e.g., Facebook, Twitter), and other digital/non-digital sourcing channels.
  • Create and utilize pre-screening questions to assess candidates' technical and soft skills.
  • Conduct in-depth phone interviews, including discussions on compensation, availability, and logistics.
  • Coordinate interview schedules with hiring managers and ensure candidates are well-prepared for each step.
  • Manage offer processes, paperwork, and onboarding instructions to ensure a seamless candidate experience.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with candidates, hiring teams, and external vendors.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in technical recruitment, with a focus on IT roles.
  • Strong understanding of technical roles and IT terminology.
  • Skilled in Boolean search and creative sourcing techniques.
  • Proficient in creating and interpreting recruitment metrics and reports.
  • Knowledge of strategic sourcing methodologies.
  • Comfortable communicating with stakeholders from hiring managers to C-level executives.
  • Proactive and open to learning new recruitment methods and technologies.
  • Experience with digital recruitment marketing and employer branding is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with ATS systems such as Avature and Workday is a significant advantage.
  • Results-driven mindset with a positive, can-do attitude.
