tax specialist is a finance professional who provides expertise and guidance on complex tax laws and regulations to individuals or organizations. They ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws, and develop strategies to minimize tax liabilities legally. 


Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Assist in tax planning and strategy development to minimize tax liabilities for clients.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and changes that could impact clients.
  • Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide thoughtful recommendations.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation for client tax matters and audit support as needed.


Requirements

  • Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience Level: 1–3 years of experience in tax preparation and planning.
  • Skills and Competencies: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and tax software applications.
  • Skills and Competencies: Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations.
  • Qualities and Traits: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Qualities and Traits: Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
  • Responsibilities and Duties: Ability to compile and present reports clearly and effectively.
