Outbound Cold Caller


Position Overview


We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Outbound Cold Caller to join our sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business opportunities by making outbound calls to prospective clients, qualifying leads, and setting appointments for our sales team. This role requires excellent communication skills, persistence, and the ability to handle rejection while maintaining a positive attitude.


## Key Responsibilities


**Lead Generation & Prospecting**


- Make 80-120 outbound calls per day to potential customers from provided lead lists

- Research and identify potential prospects through various databases and online resources

- Qualify leads based on established criteria and company requirements

- Maintain accurate records of all call activities in CRM system


**Sales Support**


- Schedule qualified appointments for senior sales representatives

- Conduct initial needs assessment and gather relevant prospect information

- Follow up on warm leads and previously contacted prospects

- Collaborate with sales team to ensure smooth handoff of qualified opportunities


**Performance & Reporting**


- Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly call volume and appointment setting targets

- Maintain detailed call logs and prospect interaction records

- Provide regular reports on call outcomes, lead quality, and pipeline development

- Participate in daily team meetings and training sessions

This position operates in a fast-paced sales environment with high call volume expectations. The role requires sitting for extended periods and extensive phone use. Some evening or weekend hours may be required depending on target market time zones.


There is opportunities for advancement within our sales organization. Successful cold callers often progress to inside sales representative, account executive, or sales management roles.

Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred

- 1-2 years of experience in telemarketing, cold calling, or inside sales

- Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills

- Strong computer skills and proficiency with CRM software

- Ability to handle rejection and maintain motivation

- Goal-oriented with strong time management abilities

- Professional phone manner and positive attitude


## Preferred Qualifications


- Experience with [specific industry/vertical]

- Familiarity with Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar CRM platforms

- Previous experience in B2B sales environment
