WordPress Developer

Work Schedule: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM PH Time, Monday to Friday

About the Role

We are seeking a WordPress Developer responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including creating WordPress themes and plugins. The role combines programming skills (PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript) with a strong sense of design, including layout, color, and typography.

The ideal candidate has experience with responsive and adaptive design, understands the full web development process (design, development, deployment), and stays current with industry trends and CMS best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new features and functionality
• Establish and guide the website’s architecture
• Ensure high performance, availability, and manage all technical aspects of the CMS
• Transform effective, responsive designs into working themes and plugins
• Coordinate with SEO, Marketing, and Product Delivery teams to implement best practices for online store websites and meet stakeholder requirements

Skills and Qualifications

• Strong understanding of front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
• Experience building user interfaces for websites or web applications
• Skilled in designing and developing responsive websites
• Comfortable with debugging tools such as Firebug, Chrome Inspector, etc.
• Ability to understand CSS changes and ensure consistent styles across platforms and browsers
• Ability to convert layouts and wireframes into working HTML pages
• Knowledge of interacting with RESTful APIs (JSON, XML)
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools is a plus
• Strong PHP back-end development skills
• Essential experience with WooCommerce plugin
• Experience with multi-site setup and maintenance is essential
