The Home Based Real Estate Staff Accountant will work as a full-time employee for a growing business based in the United States. You will get a chance to learn new skills as well as demonstrate skills you've learned in the past. You will be responsible for closely following the instructions and processes outlined by the company.

The daily tasks will vary so it will be necessary to be very flexible in this position. Other necessary characteristics of the job include having a strong attention to detail, ability to work well with co-workers, and a desire to learn new work skills.

Role Details

• Industry: Outsourcing
• Work Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST
• Workdays: Monday through Friday
• Written and spoken English skill: Very Proficient
• Salary Range: PHP 80,000 - 85,000

Job Responsibilities

• The Staff Accountant will be responsible for financial reporting of ten to twelve properties.
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations and other supporting schedules.
• Work with outside CPA firms and auditors.
• Support onsite property management staff.
• Review general ledger and record monthly journal entries.
• Review income statements and provide variance analysis.
• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Efficient and timely processing of assigned tasks.

Additional Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required. A CPA license is required.
• 2 -4 years of high-level accounting experience in a real estate industry.
• Exposure to multiple entity ownership structures.
• Multifamily experience is preferred for the Staff Accountant role, but commercial experience will be considered.
• Experience with partnership accounting.
• US GAAP experience necessary.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal/communication skills needed with customer service focus and attention to detail.
• Experience with Yardi Voyager online system preferred.
• Must be a self-starter who takes initiative.
• Must be a problem solver.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization.
