Description

The Business Development Officer is responsible for developing and managing strong client relationships, driving new business growth, and exceeding sales targets. S/he collaborates with the Sales Manager in creating business proposals and partnership agreements. S/he is also responsible for the management of and coordinating with accounts.


I. ACCOUNTS MANAGEMENT

1. Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with assigned accounts, acting as a trusted advisor and understanding their needs.

2. Oversee client onboarding and ensure a smooth integration of operations.

3. Manage and grow existing accounts by identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities.

4. Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., customer service, merchandising, marketing) to ensure client satisfaction.

5. Monitors and creates monthly reports pertaining to different accounts/channels.


II. BUSINESS GROWTH

1. Identify and qualify new business opportunities through market research, lead generation, and networking.

2. Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations that showcase the value proposition of our products/services.

3. Negotiate and close deals, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.

4. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the market, competitor landscape, and industry trends.

5. Help in achieving and exceeding sales targets.


III. BRAND AWARENESS

1. Performs research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences

2. Collaborates with other teams, including marketing, sales and customer service to ensure brand consistency.

3. Suggests and implements new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions.

4. Cultivates new content ideas for various digital platforms.

5. Conducts research to identify market trends and target customers’ preferences.

6. Ensures strong brand presence in online channels.


IV. GENERAL

1. Performs competitor checks and confirms upcoming releases, news and updates through visiting social media accounts and websites of other swim related stores.

2. Maintains the confidentiality of all information and documents he/she has access to inside the Company.

3. Adheres to the standards set by the Company on work attitude and ethics, proper uniform, and performance, including the TOP Vision, Mission and Values.

4. Performs other tasks that may be deemed necessary by the superior from time to time.

Requirements

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES (skills, knowledge, etc.):

1. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

2. Strong relationship-building and negotiation abilities.

3. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

4. Deep understanding of customer relationship management (CRM) principles.

5. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
