Our client is a fast-growing Australian fintech company transforming how individuals and businesses transfer money globally. Founded in 2018, they offer a seamless cross-border payments platform that prioritizes speed, transparency, and user experience. With a modern tech stack and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions, the company supports international transfers to over 180 countries and has already facilitated more than AUD 1 billion in transactions. Their mission is to simplify global payments through intuitive solutions and strategic partnerships.
Their Business Services Delivery department is actively focused on building web. Currently, they are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join the Data Engineering team to create modern digital software products. The team uses cutting-edge technologies to build high performing, scalable cloud-based solutions in a safe, secure, and agile fashion.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and develop our ETL/ELT processes, data modelling and data integration into our Fabric data platform.
- Work with data visualisation tools daily such as Power BI.
- Develop and optimize data pipelines, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and efficient.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver comprehensive data solutions.
- Monitor and maintain data integrity and quality, implementing best practices for data security and privacy in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Contribute to the development of analytics tools that provide actionable insights into key business performance metrics.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- You hold a bachelor's degree in computer science, data, business information systems or a related field (or equivalent experience), demonstrating your commitment to excellence in the field.
- Demonstrated skills in SQL, Python, and other languages
- Experience with cloud-based data technology stacks, particularly in Azure—including Fabric
- Strong understanding of best practices for data security.
- Ability to build and maintain technical documentation and version control using tools such as Confluence and CI/CD
- Ability to capture business requirements and transform them into results
- Your knowledge of database systems and SQL empowers you to design and optimise data-driven applications / warehouses that are secure and robust.
