The Flight Data Analyst provides support to all Jetstar Branded Airlines (JBA) thru management and coordination of human resources using Jetstar’s Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) and animation products to produce reliable data on flight operations and aircraft maintenance.
The position will be responsible in producing and providing timely information in a user-friendly format to inform management reviews and facilitate enhanced safety, operational efficiency and maintenance quality outcomes.

Monitoring consistency and quality of aircraft data transfer;
Liaison with Jetstar Group Operation Safety FDM project manager;
Daily event management as prescribed in Jetstar FDM protocols;
Daily management of timely event verification and validation;
Implementation of documented escalation protocols;
Scheduling and assuring pushed outputs including standard format monthly committee reports;
Creation of all FDM content for reports and meetings;
Response to on-demand safety/compliance-critical requests within 30min of data arriving in the FDM system (both during and outside of agreed ‘office hours’)
Production of urgent or time-critical on-demand outputs within a the agreed timeframe;
Production of complex or non-urgent outputs as required within an agreed timeframe;
Accurately estimating time required to produce on-demand outputs;
Routine template design and maintenance for queries, reports and animations;
Provision of help desk service to JBAs within area of expertise;
Assisting with knowledge-creation as trained and directed;
Supporting authorized operational personnel with FDM system data outputs;
Creating events, snap shots, studies and statistical analysis as required by the JBAs;
Creating animations as requested by JBAs

Graduate of Aeronautical Engineering/ Avionics/ Aircraft Technology or any aviation or IT related course
At least one year experience as Data Analyst
Flight crew or Flight Data Management background is an advantage
Can work on a rotating shift
Fluent in English
Advanced IT skills and basic understanding of data context
High level of efficiency and attention to details and deadlines
Ability to analyze data and create reliable reports
Excellent client and team relationship skills
Highly trainable and with common sense
