Description
1. Sales & Business Development:
- Achieve Sales Targets: Meet or exceed assigned sales quotas and performance targets through strategic planning and execution.
- Lead Generation: Identify new business opportunities and develop a robust sales pipeline by prospecting and cold-calling potential clients.
- Product Presentations: Conduct persuasive product demonstrations, showcasing the benefits, features, and clinical advantages of medical devices, equipment, or pharmaceutical products.
- Negotiation & Closing: Lead negotiations with healthcare facilities, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for both the client and the company.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor competitors’ products, pricing strategies, and market trends to adapt sales strategies and remain competitive.
2. Client Relationship Management:
- Key Account Management: Cultivate and manage relationships with key accounts, ensuring clients’ satisfaction, retention, and repeat business.
- Consultative Selling: Act as a consultative partner to medical professionals, providing tailored solutions based on their needs and requirements.
- Clients’ Support: Address client inquiries, resolve concerns, and offer after-sales support to maintain strong relationships.
- Training & Education: Provide training to medical professionals on product usage, benefits, and compliance with regulations.
3. Product Expertise & Training:
- Product Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the company's products, medical terminology, and industry regulations.
- Technical Expertise: Understand the technical aspects of medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or equipment to effectively communicate their use and benefits.
- Continuous Learning: Attend training sessions, product seminars, and industry conferences to stay current on new products and innovations. Become the go-to lead trainer for Junior Medical Sales Associates.
4. Administrative & Reporting Duties:
- Sales Reporting: Prepare and submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and activity updates to management.
- CRM Management: Update and maintain records in the Clients’ Relationship Management (CRM) system, tracking interactions, opportunities, and sales progress.
- Expense Reporting: Manage travel, entertainment, and other sales-related expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies.
5. Collaboration & Teamwork:
- Work closely with the Area Business Unit Managers and marketing team to implement promotional campaigns and product initiatives in the field.
- Coordinate with the Sales Admin and support teams to ensure smooth order processing and timely delivery of products.
- Attend sales meetings and training sessions to share best practices, learn about new products, and enhance professional development.
6. Compliance & Ethical Standards:
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and industry regulations, including maintaining compliance with healthcare industry standards and relevant codes of conduct (e.g., KLP, MCP, FDA regulations, etc.).
- Ensure that all marketing and promotional materials comply with regulatory guidelines and company standards.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, Healthcare, or related field.
- Medical, Pharmaceutical, or related certifications (preferred).
Experience:
- Experience in Sales and/or in a medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare sales industry with a cumulative 5-10 years of medical sales experience preferably from not more than 1-3 organizations and with a proven track record of success.
- Experience selling medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare technology to physicians, hospitals, and healthcare providers.
- Experience working with CRM software and sales tools (e.g., Salesforce.).
